What is a “Doctor of Soulful Transformations”?

A Doctor of Soulful Transformations is a holistic healing professional dedicated to empowering individuals to discover their true selves and improve their relationships. This involves integrating mind, body, soul, and beliefs for a balanced life. I specialize in holistic healing, forgiveness therapy, life purpose coaching, emotional resilience building, and personal empowerment through personalized sessions, workshops, and retreats.

I guide clients in addressing physical health, emotional well-being, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Through forgiveness therapy, I help release past traumas and foster inner peace. Life purpose coaching aligns clients with their true goals, while emotional resilience-building equips them to adapt and recover from setbacks.

Personal empowerment focuses on self-confidence and decision-making aligned with core values. Mindfulness and meditation enhance self-awareness and reduce stress. I help clients heal relationships through self-love and effective communication, offering transformative experiences for growth and healing.

What are your qualifications and experience?

I have been dedicated to empowering others since 2010. My journey includes extensive academic and practical experience. I hold a PhD in Metaphysical Humanistic Science with a specialization in Spiritual Counseling, a Master’s in Metaphysical Science specializing in Spiritual Counseling, and two Bachelor’s degrees in Metaphysical Humanistic Science and Metaphysical Sciences. Additionally, I am a metaphysical practitioner, ordained minister, Certified Family Recovery Specialist, Certified Empowered Recovery Counselor, Certified Spiritual Counselor, and certified Life Coach.

I am also certified in over 30 unique holistic healing modalities. These diverse certifications allow me to address a wide range of issues by meeting each person exactly where they are during our time together.

Continuously expanding my knowledge and expertise, I am committed to providing the best support and guidance to those on their journey of self-discovery and healing.

Will working with you change my life?

My clients who have never worked with someone had this same fear. Change is scary when we don’t know what to change and we don’t know how to change parts of ourselves. I can’t change you. Honestly, I don’t want that power. Only you can change YOU. Change looks different for everyone. Some changes are subtle while others are magnificent. Some small changes look like saying YES to yourself more often. This means saying no to others and learning how to be okay with that. Larger changes include standing up for yourself and setting clear boundaries with yourself and others that include consequences when the boundaries are crossed or ignored. To answer your question, “Will working with you change my life?” That is up to you. Do you want to change your life? If you are willing to do the work, if you are willing to look within, you will change your life.

What is the financial investment needed to work with you?

The cost of changing your life is nothing compared to the cost of staying the same. I offer many different price points and opportunities to work with me to empower you to change your life. I offer online classes through Northampton Community College and on Eventbrite. I offer free meditation classes called Meditation Mondays. My class schedule can be found HERE. Classes start at $49 per person. My workshops are held in person. They start at $250 for a three-day transformative experience. My retreats vary in price depending on the location and the duration. My sessions are quoted in packages that are created for your specific needs. My single session rate for an hour session is $300. I accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and Affirm payments. Payment plans are available. Depending on your financial commitment, time commitment, and readiness to create transformation in your life, there is a way we can work together. My support is included beyond our weekly or bi-weekly sessions. You can reach out to me via email or text message in between sessions. If your concern is phonecall appropriate, I offer phonecalls of 15 minutes. If the situation or concern is more intense, we will schedule a session sooner than originally scheduled.

Do you accept insurance?

As I currently don’t accept insurance, I offer various options to make our sessions affordable and accessible without the need for insurance. I believe in providing flexible solutions to support your journey. If you have any financial concerns, we can discuss customized payment plans or other arrangements that suit your needs. Your well-being is my top priority, and I’m committed to finding a way that works best for you.

What about Trust, Rapport, and Confidentiality?

Trust is earned. Trust is something that needs to grow within a relationship. My work is based on relationships and helping my clients establish better relationships with themselves. Through my work with you, we will establish trust and rapport. I welcome a call for us to get to know each other, to discuss what is coming up for you, and how I can assist you in empowering yourself. After the phone call, listen to your gut instincts. Trust yourself to make really good choices. Your trust in yourself has gotten you here. Deciding to work with me is no different. Everything that is discussed between us is confidential. It is Vegas, baby! What happens with Dr. Jen, stays with Dr. Jen!

What if I am uncomfortable about talking about what I want to change?

If you were comfortable about change and what you want to change, you would have successfully changed already and you would not need my help. I understand that change is uncomfortable. As we grow our relationship, and you gain more confidence in yourself, you will embrace being uncomfortable because that is where your power is and where your ability to create change lives…in the uncomfortable. Being vulnerable with ourselves is scary. Being vulnerable with someone in a new relationship is scary. By working together, I can help you overcome the scary and face what is uncomfortable and help you discover just how brave you are by discussing what is keeping you stuck, unhappy, and miserable.

What is a session like?

Each session is uniquely tailored to your needs at the time of our meeting. Sometimes, we focus on current events and immediate concerns, while other times, we discuss what needs to change and how to overcome fears and discomfort. Together, we create a game plan for success. We might also delve into beliefs, fears, or traumas that have resurfaced for healing. Our work is guided by what you feel is most important to address at the moment, allowing us to focus on the changes you wish to see. This personalized approach ensures that we work on what matters most to you.

Session Structure and Duration

Each session is one hour in length. However, there are times when you may bring something larger that requires more time to address. In such cases, we create space and time to meet your needs, ensuring you feel fully supported and have ample time to address your concerns.

My sessions are done over the phone, over Zoom, or in-person. My in-person sessions are considered house calls. I come to your home or a place of your choosing.

Will our conversations be met with understanding and without judgment?

You can rest assured that you will not be judged. In life, we often judge ourselves harshly and fear that others will do the same. In my practice, I leave my personal opinions at the door. My sessions are a judgment-free zone where there is no place for criticism. I am here to offer unconditional love and support to help you heal and grow. My goal is to see you succeed and transform your world, so you can inspire others to do the same.

What kind of follow-up and support do you offer between sessions and after our commitment has concluded?

Life doesn’t pause between our sessions, and I’m here to support you through it. In between our sessions, I offer text messaging and email support. If you need more assistance, I’m available for phone calls to help guide you. You are continuously supported throughout our time together.
After our commitment has concluded, you’re always welcome to reach out via email, text, or phone to request an a la carte session or a new proposal. I love staying in touch and hearing how you’re doing!

How can I stay committed to my personal growth journey?

Working on yourself is a commitment to yourself.  It is saying, “I am worthy.  I love myself enough to create the change I wish to see in my life.”  If life happens and you feel you want to quit, you are quitting on yourself.  It is in times like this that support is necessary and truly needed.  Having support during a crisis may seem unnatural to you and by having a conversation we can create a plan that allows you to have the space you need and the support that is helpful. 

What is Spiritual Counseling? Is it like therapy?

Spiritual Counseling is a holistic approach to healing and personal growth that integrates spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being. It focuses on helping individuals connect with their inner selves, explore their spiritual beliefs, and find meaning and purpose in life. Spiritual counselors often use various techniques such as meditation, prayer, affirmations, and energy work to support their clients’ journeys toward healing and self-discovery.

Traditional Therapy, on the other hand, is typically rooted in psychological theories and practices. It addresses mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and behavioral problems through evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Traditional therapists often focus on diagnosing and treating specific mental health conditions, working with clients to develop coping strategies, and improving overall psychological functioning. 

Below are the key differences between Spiritual Counseling and Traditional Therapy.  Only you know which approach best fits you.  

Focus and Approach

Spiritual Counseling: Emphasizes the integration of your beliefs and practices with emotional and psychological healing. It often explores existential questions and the search for meaning and purpose.

Traditional Therapy: Primarily focuses on psychological theories and techniques to address mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and behavioral problems.

Techniques Used

Spiritual Counseling: Includes meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices.  The holistic modalities I am certified in are TIR, SRT, SPR, NLP, Spiritual Surgery, Reiki, ThetaHealing, MAT, Hypnotherapy, IET, Enneagram, Psych-K, Phoenix Blessings, and Vortex Healing.  I am also an ordained minister and certified as a family recovery specialist and empowered recovery counselor.

Traditional Therapy: Utilizes evidence-based methods such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy.

Goals

Spiritual Counseling: Aims to help you connect with your inner self, heal your relationship with yourself, understand your belief systems, and find meaning and purpose in your life.

Traditional Therapy: Seeks to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, develop coping strategies, and improve psychological functioning.

Practitioner’s Role

Spiritual Counselor: Acts as a guide and support in your spiritual journey, helping you explore and integrate your beliefs into your daily lives.

Traditional Therapist: Works to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health issues, providing clients with tools and strategies to manage their symptoms and improve their well-being. 

Both approaches can be complementary, and some individuals may benefit from integrating elements of both spiritual counseling and traditional therapy in their healing journey.

Can I still work with you if I don’t believe in spirituality or have a particular religion or no religion at all?

Absolutely! I am here to support you on your life’s journey, regardless of your beliefs. I honor and respect your preferences, beliefs, and who you are as a person. My role is to help you see where your blind spots are and guide you on your path. Whether you have a specific religion, no religion, or different spiritual beliefs, I am committed to working within your boundaries and honoring you as an individual.

How will Spiritual Counseling benefit me in my life?

Initial Discovery Session: We’ll schedule an initial consultation to discuss your needs, goals, and any concerns you may have. This helps us determine how best to work together.  This can be done over the phone or through a Zoom Call at a mutually convenient time.  This discovery call is our way of seeing if we enjoy the experience of working together.  

Personalized Plan: Based on our conversation, I’ll create a personalized plan tailored to your specific needs and spiritual journey.  I will email you a proposal for your consideration.

Scheduling Sessions: We’ll schedule your first session at a convenient time. Each session is designed to support your growth and healing.  We will meet over the phone, through Zoom, or via house call.

Ongoing Support: Throughout our work together, you’ll have access to ongoing support through email, text, and phone calls to ensure you feel guided and empowered.  I offer daily check-ins and phone calls if desired.
